This year's winners

Our judging panel made up of six members of staff from across the business all with an interest in fundraising, helped decide which organisations South East Water will support this year.

East Kent Hospitals Charity - Dementia Appeal
• £1,000 for specialist reminiscence boxes to use at Memory Lane Café packed with equipment and games to evoke memory and stimulate conversation
Abbey Physic Community Garden, Faversham
• £1,739.94 to replace and create new raised beds in the garden to be used by members 
West Kent Extra, Sevenoaks
• £525 for a day trip to a local Country Park for 40 children aged 8-12 to visit eco-friendly visitor centre, a sensory garden, fishing lakes, play areas and woodlands, wetlands and meadows
Samaritans of Maidstone & Weald
• £100 towards paint and chairs for visitors room

• £1,000 to fund a sensory garden for children with additional learning needs

• £362.50 for 1 Emfit Tonic Monitor to alert to seizures

• £1,000 to install a rainwater recycling scheme for the community hall

• £250 for gardening equipment to begin a horticultural project to design and plant hanging baskets and planters
St Catherine's Hospice, Crawley
• £448 for four new visitors chairs
1st Hurstpierpoint Scout Group, Hassocks
• £429 to purchase 60 crates for crate stacking to build confidence and teach climbing techniques
Sovereign Disabled Swimming Club, Eastbourne
• £369 for a pool side hoist service to continue club’s use of the pool
The Bevern Trust, Barcombe
• £305 for water quality testing of the therapeutic pool to continue sessions
Community Wise, Eastbourne
• £500 for sports equipment to maximise the use of the new play area at the community centre

• £100 towards the purchasing of an irrigation system for the garden

• £600 to provide places for vulnerable pupils at the Breakfast Club

• £1,000 for kayaks and lifejackets to provide kayak fishing activities

• £1,250 for a Forest School kit for parent and toddler day sessions, and lighting and resources to run the after school sessions after dark

• £2,292.06 for licensed PMR radios to be used during deployment to maintain contact with responders

• £500 for 50 blankets for dialysis patients

• £300 for materials for volunteers to make specially designed equipment for disabled people

• £1,800 for a cooker for training and community centre to continue providing learning and practice training and work experience for people with learning disabilities

• £1,890 for a Wooden Water Wall for the Children’s Centre at Popley, Basingstoke to be used by the children as a developmental and sensory play resource
