We have invested £80,000 to reinforce the current water network in Rectory Road, Farnborough. This work will improve the capacity of the network and ensure there is sufficient pressure in the area as the community grows.
Work has been completed to install 115 metres of new water main, which has been carried out in two phases with multi-way temporary traffic lights in place.
The programme for the work was as follows:
- Tuesday 27 June, 2023: Work started on Rectory Road, north of the Old Rectory Gardens junction. Our team then started work to the south, crossing the junctions of Old Rectory Gardens and Abbey Way and continuing south along Rectory Road. The final connection was made in Avenue Road, with work crossing the roundabout to complete this section.
- Mid-August: Work took place at the junction of Rectory Road and Ashley Road.
