Lead pipes

The water we supply does not contain lead and none of our water mains are made of lead. But it can be picked up in water which flows through pipes inside your home or linking your home to our network.

Properties built after 1970 are unlikely to have lead pipes, but homes before this period could do. You may wish to consider having your water tested for lead and replacing your plumbing if necessary.
