Sandhurst and Yateley

We are planning a scheme to install a 4.5 kilometre strategic water main pipeline in Sandhurst and Yateley.

The new water pipeline is required to increase storage and distribution capacity of the existing network and to protect future water supply in the area.

Drop-in sessions were held in March for local residents to find out more about the project. Following feedback from attendees the decision has been made to delay the scheme for two years to allow us more time to continue our studies of the Blackwater Valley Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and gather further data.

Residents will shortly receive a letter to confirm the delay and we anticipate work on this important project to now start in April 2020. It is expected to take approximately 18 months to complete.

We are aware the scheme may cause some disruption in the Sandhurst and Yateley areas and we will keep you updated on when this important work will start.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.
