Everyone needs water, whether it’s to drink, keep clean and healthy, or to run businesses, and that’s why we believe the top quality water we supply to you should be uninterrupted.
While we replaced a number of pipes in Wokingham in 2012/13 we continue to upgrade our network so that we can ensure a secure supply to your tap now and in the future.
What are we doing?
We’re investing £300,000 to lay a new 1.2 kilometre pipeline along Waterloo Road and Priest Avenue between the junctions of Rances Lane and Tudor Close, as well as along Buckhurst Grove.
There will be road closures in place while we lay the new pipeline to allow a big enough working area that will keep the public and our workforce safe.
We know that road closures are disruptive but they are a necessity.
We will close the road in sections, always allowing access to residents and into businesses.
A diversion route, agreed with Wokingham Borough Council, will be clearly signed.
