Bramley Road, Tadley

Why are we doing this work?

As part of an ongoing programme to improve our water supply network we are planning a scheme to install a 1,110 metre pipeline along Bramley Road.

This £182,000 scheme is necessary to improve the capacity of the network and ensure we can continue to maintain water pressure to the area as the community grows.

Where are we working?

Construction work will be carried out along Bramley Road from the junction with Aldermaston Road.

As a safety precaution for motorists, this work will be carried out under a rolling road closure and the new main will be installed in sections before that section is reinstated and the work moves along to the next stage.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation for part of the work located on the A340 Aldermaston Road and Silchester Road.

Please be assured that access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.

When is the work due to start?

Construction is planned to start on Monday 16 October 2017 and the project is expected to take approximately 30 weeks to complete.

However, our contractor will work as hard as they can to complete the scheme as quickly and safely as possible.

Work will take place during normal working hours, although there may be some activities at weekends.

There may be a short interruption to your water supply during this scheme as we connect our new pipe to the existing network. However you will be notified if this is to happen.

Find out more

Our project team will be holding a drop-in session for local businesses and residents to find out more about the scheme and answer any concerns you may have.

This will take place between 4.15pm and 7.15pm at St Stephen’s Hall, Silchester Road, Little London, Tadley, RG26 5EX on Thursday 14 September.
