Sovereign Way, Tonbridge

New water main installation in Sovereign Way, Tonbridge

As part of an ongoing programme to improve our water supply network we are planning a scheme to install a 110 metre section of new water main along Sovereign Way.

This £26,500 scheme is necessary to improve the capacity of the network and ensure we can continue to maintain water pressure to the area as the community grows.

How can we ensure this work is done with minimum disruption to you?

Construction work will be carried out within the carriageway on Sovereign Way, with the road being returned to its original state upon completion of the project.

As a safety precaution for pedestrians and motorists, temporary traffic lights will be in operation on Sovereign Way for the duration of the work.

Please be assured that access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.

When is the work due to start?

Construction is planned to start on Monday 21 August 2017 and the project is expected to take approximately five weeks to complete.

However, our contractor will work as hard as they can to complete the scheme as quickly and safely as possible.

Work will take place during normal working hours, although there may be some activities at weekends.

There may be a short interruption to your water supply during this scheme as we connect our new pipe to the existing network. However you will be notified if this is to happen.

Who can I contact if I have any queries about these works?

Our contractor is Clancy Docwra and if you have any concerns during the work staff on site will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
