Go behind the scenes at Bray water treatment works

Just how river and ground water is transformed into clean drinking water and piped to homes and businesses will be explained during an open day at Keleher Water Treatment Works, Bray, on 15 October.

South East Water will be holding two tours during the day with entry by ticket only.  Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Visitors will be shown how the water is collected, stored and treated before being sent on the final stage of its journey to customers’ taps.

Sara Best, Regional Process Manager at South East Water, said: “When most people turn on their tap, they give little thought as to where the water has come from and how it reaches their homes.

On this tour we will be showing customers the journey that their water takes from source to tap.

Everyone working at South East Water is immensely proud of the final product which is among the highest quality tap water in the world.”
