SailingWatersports are great fun for young, old, beginners or experienced sailors.
Ardingly Reservoir, in Sussex, provides a large expanse of fresh water set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with a well-equipped sailing school – Ardingly Activity Centre. During the past 16 years, we have introduced thousands of visitors to the thrill and challenges of sailing, windsurfing and canoeing.
Safety is a priority for our experienced and enthusiastic staff and the sailing centre is equipped with modern and well maintained equipment. The centre is a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and British Canoe Union (BCU) approved centre and registered by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority (AALA). This means it is regularly inspected for standards of instruction, facilities, equipment and staff ratios.
Group Activities
The centre is dedicated to providing tailor-made outdoor sessions for school and youth groups of all sizes, with most linked to the National Curriculum. These include two-hour PE lessons, multi-activity weeks, Duke of Edinburgh training and NVQs.
Groups enjoy reduced rates and can take part in one or any combination of the following: sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, raft building, rowing, course fishing, orienteering and nature trails. Adult group sessions can also be tailored for office or organisation outings.
Additional needs
The centre is able to provide a range of activities for people with additional needs, please contact the centre to discuss your requirements.
