We want to make sure that as the community around Hailsham grows, our network is able to manage additional demand for water and maintain water pressure for existing customers.
We’re installing new equipment to our water supply network in Arlington Road East to support the network as the community in the area grows.
Together with other projects in Hailsham(opens in a new tab), this will improve the network in the area, providing us with greater flexibility and resilience in the event of an unplanned interruption.
When will work start and how long will it take?
We’re currently planning to start this project on Monday 12 January 2026. We expect the work to take around three weeks to complete.
Our team will work Monday to Friday, with weekend work if required.
Will there be roadworks?
We are planning to carry this work out without closing the road. There will be temporary traffic management in place, using road signs to guide traffic.

We will be carrying the work out without the need to close the road. There will be temporary traffic management in place using road signs to guide traffic.
There may be a short interruption to supply when we connect the new equipment to the network. However, we’ll let anyone affected by this know at least 48 hours in advance, and whenever possible will avoid peak times of water usage.
