When will work start, and how long will it take?
We’ll be starting this project, initially in Stour Crescent, on Monday 6th October, and expect to take around eight months to complete the entire work. Our team will work quickly to complete the project sooner, if possible.

Stour Crescent: Traffic lights from 6th October 2025 for around three weeks
Field Avenue: Road closure from 30 October 2025 for around six weeks
Reed Avenue: Road closure from 7 January 2026 for around eight weeks
South Street: Road closure from 6 March 2026 for around two weeks
Old Park Avenue: Road closure from 19 March 2026 for around ten weeks
Sturry Road: Traffic lights from 19 March for around two weeks
Will the road be closed?
Work in Stour Crescent will begin with traffic lights. Later phases will require rolling road closures, meaning sections of the roads will be closed as we move along the work programme. We’ll add details of these closures to this page as work progresses.

We have now laid a total of 163 metres of pipe on this project!
We are still operating in Field Avenue but will shortly be moving on to Reed Avenue for around 7 weeks.

Project update
We have completed work in Stour Crescent and have returned the road to a safe and driveable condition.
We will shortly move into Field Avenue. This section of work will take approximately seven weeks.
