Even if you already take steps to save water, a professional visit can uncover hidden savings. The benefits include:

  • Detecting silent leaks: Many homes have hidden leaks, like a leaky toilet, that don’t make a sound but can waste hundreds of litres of water a day. Our technicians are experts at spotting and fixing these.
  • Lower your bills: Reducing your water usage doesn't just lower your water bill; it also reduces the energy needed to heat it, saving you money on your gas and/or electricity.
  • Free devices: We provide and fit water-saving devices in and around your home, where possible. These include a toilet cistern bag, tap insert, regulated shower head, colour-changing shower head and LeakyLoo strips.
  • Free repairs: We'll look for minor leaks (such as a dripping tap) and repair them at no cost to you, where possible.
  • Tailored advice: You’ll get expert recommendations specifically for your home and your family’s habits.
  • Quick service: The visit is free and usually takes less than an hour. It's a great way to get peace of mind that your home is running efficiently.

No, this is a free service we are offering our customers. We want to be able to save you water and money where possible.

Yes, absolutely! Rental properties are fully eligible for our visits.

  • If you pay the water bill directly: You can book the visit yourself using the booking form(opens in a new tab).
  • If your landlord or lettings agency pays the water bill (included in your rent): Since the landlord or lettings agency is the account holder, please ask them to book the visit on your behalf, or give you permission as the tenant to book it.

In all visits, we will fit water-saving devices and make minor repairs where possible. We never make permanent adjustments to internal pipework or fittings, nor will we make any structural changes to the property.

Our visits are from 9am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. You will need to be present to allow them access to the property, as they need to see the internal fittings.

After filling out the booking form, we will call you within 72 hours to book your visit. You can choose from either a morning or afternoon slot.

On the day of your visit, your technician will call you to confirm the exact time.

The visit usually takes up to one hour, but this can vary depending on the size of your home and the number of devices installed. If we are unable to carry out all the work on the first visit, we will schedule a follow-up appointment with you to ensure it is completed.

Our visits are carried our by Waterlink(opens in a new tab), a trusted branch of South East Water. A trained and professional technician from Waterlink will visit your home. They will be wearing a Waterlink branded uniform with a South East Water badge. They will also carry official identification which they will show you when they arrive.

They will ask you about your daily habits that use water and will make recommendations to improve the efficiency in your home.

They will need access to the water fittings in your home such as taps, toilets and showers so they can install free water-saving devices and repair minor leaks where possible.

They may ask to see your internal stop tap, so please make sure it is accessible. The technician can help you locate it if needed.

If you have an outside tap, they may take a quick look to make sure it isn't leaking.

We want to help our customers save both water and money. These free visits are designed to help you reduce your daily water usage, which can lower your water and energy bills.

By helping everyone use water more efficiently and fixing minor leaks, we can protect our local water resources and ensure a sustainable supply for the future.

Definitely! Even if you already take steps to save water, a professional visit can uncover hidden savings. Many homes have silent leaks, like a leaking toilet or dripping tap, that can waste hundreds of litres a day and significantly add to your bills, without you ever hearing or seeing a thing.

In less than an hour, our experts can spot these hidden issues, fit the high-quality water-saving devices, and carry out minor repairs for free. It’s a quick and easy way to get peace of mind that your home is running as efficiently as possible.

The technician will explain everything they find, what they can repair and recommend the water-saving devices suitable for your home, which we will fund and fit for free. They will also look for any unaccounted water usage that could be from leaks.

If a leak is found on a toilet or tap, we will repair this, free of charge. If a leak is found elsewhere, unfortunately, we will not be able to repair this. However, the technician will give you a letter that explains what you will need to do.

No, we will not make any adjustments to your internal pipework or fittings, and all of the devices we install can be removed, though we encourage our customers to keep them to get the maximum water-saving benefit.

If a leak is found on the supply pipe or on heating systems or boilers, it is the homeowner's responsibility to fix this. If you are a tenant you will need to inform your landlord or Managing Agents about the leak and for them to arrange a repair. If the leak is found to be on our equipment, we will repair this.

If we find a leak internally or on your supply pipe, we will be able to provide a leak allowance for the period of the high consumption, if you have not already received one. If the leak is on our side, you will receive an allowance for the period of the leak.
